so after 8 months of marriage, i decided to make a new blog. a married blog. a "family" blog. really i just thought i should have a blog that didn't have my maiden name in the address anymore. and so, i introduce you to our new blog.

my hunk bags bucks

this morning i woke up early to kiss my husband goodbye for 3 days while he goes up into the wasatch mountains to kill himself a buck. i don't know how my husband, who grew up in the greater LA area became such a hunter, but boy does he love it! and so i am a hunter's wife. i even have a shirt he bought me that says "this babe bags bucks". if you're lucky, maybe i will take a picture of me in it and post it here for you all to see. as much as i don't want to buy an entire freezer just to stuff deer meat into, i am hoping with all my might that he "bags a buck" this year. it just makes him so happy. it makes me cry to think of bambi's being killed, but he has told me all about how hunting helps population control. it's still sad though.
so send your good vibes his way these next 3 days. and if he doesn't get a buck, well, elk season is just around the corner!

sicker than a dog

steve came home sick from work yesterday and had to call out for today.
so did his coworker.
they are sick because they ate at Big Ed's.
so, moral of the story. don't eat at Big Ed's...unless you need a colon cleansing.

true love

today while i was at work, counting down the hours, minutes until i get to rush home to the arms of my loving husband, i get the following text from the man himself.

"u make me happy...darn happy. i am so glad we married in the temple so i can bother you forever"

i think that says it all. this man truly loves me.
and you know what? i love him back.

dogs will be dogs

does anyone else's dog do this? when marley has to pee, he just goes if we are outside. but then he feels like he will be left behind, so he starts walking with you while peeing. the end result is this picture. sadly, this wasn't even at our house. this was at our friends' house in vegas while they dog sat for us this summer. sorry eric and jackie! thankfully, it's nothing a hose can't fix. funny dog...
